Available for new engagements · Q3 2026

Strategy that ships.

Management consulting, agile project delivery, and custom-built systems — engineered for startups and SMEs that need to move from plan to production without the enterprise overhead.

  • 15+years across EMEA, US & LATAM
  • 18+international engagements delivered
  • 10industry verticals as primary practice

The proposition

Most consultants give you a deck.
We give you the deck — and the delivery.

Strategy is cheap. Delivery is what compounds. Et al. bridges that gap for founders and operators who can’t afford a Big-Four engagement, but can’t afford to get this wrong either. Advisory, hands-on project management, custom tooling and Deloitte-grade security — under one partner-led practice.

Services

Four practices. Partner-led.

Engagements typically blend two or three of these. They’re sold separately so you scope what you actually need — not a retainer for what you don’t.

01

Advisory

Audit · Diagnose · Strategy · Security

You leave Advisory with the actual problem named (not the perceived one), a remediation plan prioritised by impact and effort, and a business case you can defend. The 2-week diagnostic is fixed-fee, written, and decision-ready — you choose whether we continue into execution.

What your firm gets:

  • A written diagnosis of what’s actually broken
  • A remediation roadmap prioritised by impact and effort
  • GDPR / ISO 27001 / SOC 2 audit-ready documentation
  • Client contract security clauses you can deliver against
  • A business model or market-entry plan investors can sign off on
  • An investor-ready KPI model that survives scrutiny
  • Requirements engineered for the build team to scope (CBAP® ’26)

Proof: three-stream operational audit at SICTIC (Switzerland’s largest investor club); full audit & ERP rebuild at California Reliable Medical Solutions; seven years of Information Security Management at Deloitte AG Switzerland; WhiteSmoke 240% revenue lift across 13 new Tier 1–3 markets.

02

Delivery

Project & Program Management

When the schedule is slipping, the stakeholders are arguing, or the project just isn’t shipping, Delivery is where you bring it back. Lee runs Agile, Hybrid or Waterfall — whichever your stage and stakeholders actually need — and owns the outcome end-to-end.

What your firm gets:

  • A schedule you can defend (or the honest reset that gets there)
  • Stakeholders aligned without weekly status drama
  • Distributed engineering, ops & commercial squads moving in sync
  • Vendors and contractors managed against measurable deliverables
  • Roadmap progress visible at board / investor level

Proof: 18+ international engagements; concurrent three-stream delivery at SICTIC (ops, CRM, AI); release trains across PL, Kosovo, India, LATAM and Sub-Saharan Africa.

03

Build

Custom Systems · AI · ERP / CRM

When off-the-shelf doesn’t fit, you don’t need a six-month enterprise project — you need the system that does the actual job. Build ships custom ERPs, AI workflows, CRMs and dashboards on low-code / no-code stacks. Live products in weeks, not quarters.

What your firm gets:

  • A working ERP / CRM / HRIS in weeks, not quarters
  • An AI workflow that bridges your technical and non-technical teams
  • Your HubSpot or Salesforce CRM remediated and re-pipelined (not replaced)
  • Operational dashboards that surface what matters to your board
  • An MVP that survives first contact with real users

Proof: CanBan AI workflow platform; TicketsAI agentic triage; GSuite/Zoho ERP at 3rd World Creative; HubSpot CRM recovery at SICTIC.

04

Transform

Coaching · Change · LEAN/Six Sigma

Strategy and tools fail when the people don’t change with them. Transform makes the change stick: agile adoption that survives your next hire, process improvements that compound, and security training that holds up to a Big Four audit.

What your firm gets:

  • An agile team that actually self-organises after we leave
  • Process improvements documented as SOPs (not slide decks)
  • Six Sigma throughput gains your operations team can defend
  • A security-aware culture, from new-hire welcome days to partner briefings
  • Continuous-improvement discipline that survives leadership changes

Proof: Six Sigma throughput gains at notime AG; two-year retained change-management mandate at California Reliable Medical Solutions; gamification & Agile coaching at Komunikon.

Approach

How an engagement runs.

Predictable cadence. Tight feedback loops. Visible artefacts every week. No black boxes, no padded retainers.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

Two-week deep-dive: stakeholders, systems, financials, delivery state. You receive a written diagnosis with prioritised interventions and a go/no-go on continued engagement.

  2. 02

    Design

Roadmap with measurable gates. Business case, RACI, delivery cadence, tooling and resource model — costed against the value at stake.

  3. 03

    Deliver

Hands-on execution. Weekly delivery review, fortnightly steerco, monthly board update. Distributed teams, vendor management and build work owned end-to-end.

  4. 04

    Hand off

Documented playbooks, trained internal owners, instrumented KPIs. We’re engineered to make ourselves unnecessary — not indispensable.

About

The practice.

Et al. Consulting is a small, partner-led practice. Each of us runs our own engagements; we collaborate where a brief calls for combined expertise. Currently two partners, with selected additions planned.

Portrait of Lee Avnit, founder of Et al. Consulting

Founder · Project Management & Business Transformation Consultant

Lee Avnit

Operator first.

Management consultant and agile delivery lead — 15+ years and 18+ international engagements turning ambiguous briefs into delivered outcomes. Has led delivery trains across Switzerland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, Kosovo, India, LATAM and Sub-Saharan Africa, with recent Swiss engagements spanning operational and process audits, HubSpot CRM remediation, and agentic AI solution delivery for investor networks and SMEs.

The operator background runs deep: founded an ESG e-commerce platform connecting 50+ emerging-market artists to tier-1 buyers, ran last-mile logistics hubs for Digitec Galaxus and Brack.ch, and supervised inflight catering for Edelweiss, Qatar, United and American Airlines at Zürich Airport. He’s been the founder cashflow-stressed at 2am, the ops lead with a missing pallet, and the PM recovering a slipping release. Swiss MSc from HSLU Lucerne; based in Winterthur, on-site across Zurich and the EU when an engagement needs hands on the table.

Partner · ex-Deloitte AG · Information Security, Risk & Compliance

Tony Mason

Investigator first.

Information security specialist. Over seven years as Head of Client Confidentiality, Insider Threat & Data Loss Prevention at Deloitte AG Switzerland — GDPR, FADP and ISO 27001 implementation; client contract security-clause review and negotiation; incident management and resolution; security training programmes from new-hire welcome days up to critical security partner briefings, delivered at both local and global level.

Ten prior years as a London Metropolitan Police Officer in investigative taskforces and covert operations — burglary, robbery, high-value acquisitive crime, and dedicated gang crime units. The rigour around data and intelligence analysis, evidence handling and risk identification that policing demands is invaluable in corporate security practice. At Et al. he brings that Big Four-grade rigour to startups and SMEs — the firms carrying real GDPR and FADP exposure that can’t yet justify a full-time security function. Based in Oberwil (CH).

Frequently asked

What founders usually ask.

Are you available for fixed-scope projects or only retainers?

Both. Most engagements start with a two-week diagnostic on a fixed fee, after which we agree on either a milestone-based project, a fractional retainer (usually 2–4 days/week), or a hand-off after the diagnostic if the brief doesn’t actually need ongoing support.

Do you work remotely, on-site, or both?

Both. Default is remote with a recurring on-site cadence in Zurich and the wider EU. Beyond Europe, we travel for kick-off, mid-engagement reviews, and steerco moments — engagements have run across LATAM, Sub-Saharan Africa and the US.

How small is too small?

If you’re pre-seed and bootstrapped, we can usually find a structure that works — a short advisory engagement, a venture-building sprint, or equity-flavoured arrangements where the fit is right. The work has to be real, not theoretical.

Do you work solo or with a team?

Et al. is a small, partner-led practice. Each partner runs their own engagements; we collaborate where a brief calls for combined expertise — for instance when an operational audit surfaces information-security findings that warrant Tony’s Deloitte-trained specialism. For builds and larger deliveries we bring in trusted specialists (developers, designers, BAs) from a curated network — billed transparently, never marked up. You always know who’s on the engagement and what they cost.

What does an engagement typically cost?

The diagnostic is a fixed fee. Beyond that, fees scale with the value at stake and the cadence agreed. We’ll quote against a written scope after the discovery call — not before — so the number reflects your actual situation rather than a list price.

Let’s see if there’s a fit.

A 30-minute discovery call, no fee, no obligation. Bring the messy version of the problem — that’s the version we’re most useful on.
